LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The family of a man gunned down in October 2012 is begging for help in its search to catch the killer.
Bryan Lewis' aunt, Pam Lewis, said family members are holding a fundraiser to raise money for a reward. They hope it will lead to information and the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Lewis, who was 21, and his dog Champ. They were shot in their home on Nickel Avenue in the Beechmont neighborhood.
The fundraiser will be held Friday, April 12 at 1st String Family Sports Grill on New Cut Road. It starts at 7 p.m. Pam Lewis said they already have $2,000 for a reward, but they hope this will bring in more.
Lewis said finding the shooter can help bring closure to a family that is still suffering. "It's hard. It's hard to watch his mom and dad suffer like they are not knowing… why it was done and who done it."
