CHICOPEE, MA (WSHM) -
A Chicopee man has been found guilty of killing his 6-month-old son in 2009.
A Hampden Superior Court jury convicted Edwin Goitia for beating his son to death. An autopsy found the baby died from blunt-force trauma to the back of the head.
A month after the boy was born, state officials took him away and granted Amanda's parents custody after she brought her son to the hospital with bite marks and bruises. Prosecutors say the boy was back living with his mother almost two months prior to his death.
