Despite these sobering statistics, our region is a wonderful place to live and work. This is because of the spirit and generosity of the people who live here.
Like any city, we face real problems that we must address if our community is to prosper and grow. Our area faces quality of life issues like poverty and the challenges that accompany it.
United Way is unique because we provide not just support, but a support system. In addition, we study the needs, build coalitions around them, gather resources and impact problems at their root. No other agency helps more people in more ways.
