RECALL ALERT: Cat food may be missing essential nutrient

(WFIE) - There's a recall alert for cat lovers.

BluePearl Veterinary Partners are warning pet owners of a voluntary recall issued Sunday by Diamond Pet Foods.

It affects consumers in 25 states including Indiana and Kentucky.

Diamond is recalling several types of cat food because it may have a low level of thiamine.

BluePearl says that vitamin is essential in maintaining normal nervous system function.
