Special event serves those who have served our country

Audubon Area Community Services is hosting a free Veterans Resource Fair in Owensboro Tuesday afternoon.

It will take place at the National Guard Armory just off of Tamarack Road in Owensboro.

The fair starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.

The goal is to help veterans and their families learn more about the resources and other services that are available to them.

Lots of information will be presented at the fair, including educational, employment, health, and many other resources.

You don't have to be a veteran in Daviess County to attend; anyone in a surrounding county is more than welcome to stop by.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Office has posted about this event several times on its Facebook page, explaining that lots of times, veterans come home and struggle, because they don't know about the help that's there for them.

At times, life at home can be harder than serving on the front lines.

This fair helps to work through those problems.

This is free and open to any veterans in the community that are interested in learning about the services and resources that are available to them.
