LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman is accused of abusing her son while at the doctor's office.

According to the arrest report, Chelsie Immes, 24, took her one-year-old son to see his pediatrician at 217 E. Magnolia Ave. on Friday. According to a witness, Immes dragged the child around the office, threw him into a chair, then grabbed him by the wrists and dragged him across the floor, causing him to hit his head on a bookshelf.

The witness claims at one point, the woman told the child, "I hope you fall out of the chair and bust your head on the floor."

A nurse noticed a bruise on the child's body and notified Child Protective Services. CPS found bruises on the boy's back, buttocks and thighs.

The arrest report states that Immes admitted spanking her son with a belt.

LMPD's Crimes Against Children's Unit was notified.

Immes is charged with 3rd degree criminal abuse.
