    Actor James Gandolfini, who famously played Tony Soprano, has died in Italy of an apparent heart attack.

The National Weather Service offers several ways to become a weather spotter, including through the Internet.

Spotters are an invaluable resource, particularly when it comes to severe weather events.

If you can't make a spotter class or one isn't held in your county, there are several opportunities through webinars.

The sessions are free and open to everyone.
