Notice anyone crawling down Main Street?

Posted: Updated:

The GLVC tournament has brought new visitors to the downtown area.

Local businesses are preparing for a busy weekend as the March on Main Festival kicks off.

Angelo's Pizza says the tournament keeps them busy with new visitors and the emphasis on bringing people to downtown has their reservations filling up.

"We have been making extra pizzas, extra pastas, extra salads," employee Rami Jawabreh said.

"Fridays and Saturdays the book has been filling up, we've had extra business here and there," Jawabreh said.

People will be 'Crawling Down Main' making stops for stamps on their lanyards.

Lanyards can be picked up at any one of the thirteen participating businesses.

Anthony's heavenly cheesecakes has been stamping several lanyards already.

"It's kind of offering that incentive to come downtown and really think that it's going to help the downtown area and see what downtown has to offer," owner Anthony Christian said.

If you visit five businesses on the lanyard, you'll automatically win a tee shirt. And ten lucky visitors will win $100 cash.

A corn hole tournament will be help on Saturday at Backstage Bar and Grill.

Kids Day features several inflatable's, live music, and performances by the Boom Squad.
