Lynnville woman faces charges after reporting attempted robbery

Jaimee Barrett, the Lynnville woman who claimed an intruder assaulted her at her home in February, has been formally charged with false reporting.  

Barrett is accused of making up a story about being attacked at her home.  

Lynnville Elementary School was placed on lock down after Barrett told police a man tried to rob her, then ran over her with her truck.  

Deputies tell 14 News she made up the whole story.

Barrett's first court date is set for March 18th.

She is facing up to twelve months in jail and a $5,000 fine.
