School set to raise money to bump up cancer research

Cancer doesn't just effect adults, but children too.

4-year-old Tri-Stater Blaine Hawkins has been fighting all his life. He has had 3 relapses during that time. If you would like to know more about Blaine and his story click here.

Thursday evening Mt. Carmel Middle School Volleyball team is having a "Gold Out" Rally for Rileys to raise money for childhood cancer research.

It starts Thursday evening at 5:15 for the 6th grade game followed by the main 7/8th grade games at 6 p.m.

They are also selling shirts for $15.
