Name released of man killed in Evansville factory accident

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

A fatal industrial accident shuts down operations at an Evansville factory Wednesday morning.

According to Evansville Police, the fire department was called to Purina Animal Nutrition in the 2100 block of Lynch Road just after 2 a.m. Wednesday morning after employees found a fellow co-worker unresponsive and not breathing.

The man was identified as 43-year-old Newgene S. Pike, of Evansville.

 

Officials did say that factory operations will be shut down until the investigation has been completed.
