EVSC schools are got their students pumped up for ISTEP tests by hosting assemblies Monday.
Each school had a different theme and program.
At the Cedar Hall Community School assembly, the theme was "Survivor."
Outsmart, outscore, outlast.
Teachers dressed as students to put on a play which showed kids what not to do if you want to get a good score.
Third grade teacher Jessica Hopkins says assemblies like this are important to get focused going into the tests.
"It's really important to get them going, and get the adrenaline going," said Hopkins. "We always try to do something fun, to get them excited about it so it's not just another boring test. We want it something to show what they can do," she said. "Taking on Survivor was kind of a way to get them ready to go."
The first round of ISTEP testing starts Tuesday. The second round is the first week of May.
