Further solidifies position for accelerated growth and expansion in key European markets
NOVI, Mich., March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper-Standard Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: COSH), a leading global supplier of automotive sealing, fluid and anti-vibration systems, today announced the appointment of Fernando de Miguel to president of the company's European operations. Based in Mannheim, Germany, he is responsible for continuing Cooper Standard's footprint adjustment and targeted expansions in Europe. Previously, Cooper Standard's chief operating officer, Keith Stephenson, held the position.
Most recently serving as western European CEO of Avincis Emergency Services, de Miguel has more than 20 years of experience leading international companies in the automotive, transportation and paper industries. He has special expertise in operational and strategic management, process optimization, productivity improvement and supply chain management.

Prior to Avincis Emergency Services, de Miguel served as consulting president for Europe for Argo Consulting, president of the Protective Packaging division of Pregis in Belgium and senior vice president of Northern Europe for Alstom Transport in Paris.
Earlier, he held management positions of increasing responsibility for 13 years with Johnson Controls, Inc. in France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain, rising to group vice president and general manager, electronics, Europe and international. Prior to that, he held operational positions in the automotive supply and transportation industry.
Fluent in Spanish, French, Italian and English, de Miguel earned an electrical engineering degree and a Master's Degree in industrial engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Barcelona, as well as an executive master's degree in business administration from the IESE Business School - University of Navarra in Spain.
