President Clinton will be in Owensboro on Wednesday

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

Former President Bill Clinton will be in Owensboro on Wednesday to attend a fundraiser for the Wendell H. Ford Government Education Center. 

14News spoke with several people who are involved with the fundraiser including Moonlite Barbecue and the Owensboro Museum of Science and History.

President Clinton last visited Owensboro when he was still in office in 2000.

While he was there, he stopped in at Moonlite, and this year the restaurant is catering the event.

President Clinton is expect to make appearances at River Park Center, the Wendell H Ford Education Center, and the museum.

Museum Director, Kathy Olsen, says a new Wendell Ford Exhibit is in place for the event and she also says the town is very excited for President Clinton's arrival.

"Owensboro loves President Clinton," says Olsen. "I think he loves Owensboro, because he keeps coming back. We couldn't be more excited and more honored to have such a wonderful president and man come back and visit."
