MACON, GA (WALB) -

The Crisp Academy girls basketball team was presented with yellow roses after defeating Citizens Christian 59-34 in the GISA Class A girls state championship game on Saturday.

The flowers celebrate a third straight state championship for the Lady Wildcats.

Junior Madi Mitchell led Crisp to a third state title with 34 points.

It was a championship the Lady Wildcats as always dedicate to their seniors.

"It is extremely hard. Especially with everybody telling you you should win it. It is a lot of pressure.  we had to work really, really hard," said senior Jay Jay Yown.

"We have worked and worked and worked in all of our practices during the summer and during the year.  I think we deserve it," said senior Kendall Wilson.

"It means everything. Especially for our seniors because this is their last chance.  It feels awesome, " said junior Madi Mitchell.

This is the first time in almost 35 years Crisp Academy have won three straight state titles in girls basketball.
