Gibson County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a registered sex offender on a parole violation warrant in Patoka.
Saturday morning, sheriff's deputies say they received information that 32-year-old Thomas Eugene Young, Jr. was wanted on a parole violation warrant that was issued Saturday morning by the Indiana Department of Corrections.
In late 2012, Young was released from prison to electronic GPS monitoring for a 2009 conviction, through Gibson County Superior Court for Sexual Misconduct With A Minor.
Young's sex offender registry and parole address is 1817 N. Fares Ave. in Evansville. Late Friday evening, Indiana DOC Parole received information that Young's electronically monitored bracelet had been cut and removed from his person.
Additional information was obtained Saturday morning on Young's whereabouts and Young was arrested without incident at a family residence in Patoka around 10:00 a.m.
Young was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on the no bond Indiana DOC Parole Board warrant.
