EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Wesselman Woods Nature Society is hosting their annual Maple Sugarbush Festival this weekend.

This is the 35th year for the Sugarbush Fest.

It starts Saturday morning at 7 o'clock and goes until 1. It's also Sunday 7a.m. until 1.

Anyone is welcome to come.

14 News got to see a little bit of the process of how they make the maple syrup today and its really interesting and very tasty.

"People are always amazed you can make maple syrup here, instead of going north into Canada," said Neal Bogam, naturalist. "It's always impressive to see kids light up when you talk about taking tree sap and make something out of it, syrup and that kind of thing."

It's $8 for adults and $5 for kids.

It starts at 7am Saturday and Sunday.

Organizers tell us they'll be having it rain or shine.
