A wax museum on display at Bend Gate Elementary School in Henderson just opened its doors.
It's the final act of a three-part project put on by third grades and anyone is welcome to stop by.
Each student researched a famous American icon and created a book report on that person's life.
Then they created a poster display with important facts and pictures of that person.
Now students are designing costumes and writing speeches that reflect that person's time period.
And they have it organized for visitors in a pretty unique way.
The museum will be set up in the cafeteria and each student will act as a wax figure and stay frozen until you push the button.
That's when they tell you about the icon they're dressed as.
Teacher Lori Farmer says this has been a great lesson for the students.
"It actually encompassed a huge variety," says Farmer. "We were allowed to explore English, language arts, non-fiction, writing of course as well as speaking and listening standards. Those were able to be addressed. And the arts and the dramatizations, the kids are loving that."
It's free and open to the public.
