BLISSFIELD, MI (Toledo News Now) -
Police have released surveillance video of two suspects vandalizing school buses in Blissfield, MI. CrimeStoppers of Lenawee County is asking for the public's help in solving the malicious destruction of property to several Blissfield Community Schools' buses.
Personnel from the Blissfield Community School notified the Blissfield Police Department that 22 bus tires and two vehicles' tires were cut with a small knife during the early morning hours Friday, Feb. 22. Video from the schools surveillance system showed two males wearing all black, unplugged the electric cords from the bus motors and then walked around the buses cutting tires.
The males appeared to be approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a slim build.
School was canceled Friday due to the weather, but due to extensive damage to the buses, the buses would not have been able to transport students that day.
All the tires have been replaced as of Saturday afternoon. The cost is estimated in the thousands.
