COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

South Carolina senior first baseman L.B. Dantzler was honored by the SEC this week with Player of the Week honors.

Dantzler went 9-for-13 with two doubles, six runs, and two home runs during this weekend's series against Albany. He also tied three Carolina Stadium records for a three-game series with 17 total bases, nine hits, and six runs scored.

Dantzler is hitting .545 for the season with three home runs and 13 RBI as well as a .593 on-base percentage and a 1.045 slugging percentage.

The Gamecocks are 5-1 so far this season following the three-game sweep of Albany.

South Carolina plays Furman on Tuesday starting at 4 p.m.
