What young girl doesn't flip through magazines admiring all the celebrities and hoping to look like them.
"So I thought if I have the perfect face everything else will fall into line," says Theresa Clementi.
Her fascination with beauty started when she was around 13 years old.
"I saw the other girls at school doing it," says Clementi.
As she got older, Theresa's fascination with looks now became an obsession.
"And that's when I kind of started in my eating disorder as well."
"If girls are beginning to wear makeup younger and younger a couple of things could be going on," said Paula Edwards Gayfield with the Renfrew Center for treating eating disorders.
"We are starting our barefaced and beautiful without and within campaign."
After a year of treatment the 20 year old is ready to educate other young girls.
She joined the no makeup for a day campaign is to prove that true beauty is more than skin deep.
Hoping that when other girls look in the mirror they see what she feels.
The Barefaced & Beautiful, Without & Within campaign kicks off today during National Eating Disorders Week, and runs until March 2.
They are asking girls and women to forego wearing make-up for just one day Monday February 25th, and promote their involvement through their social media networks by tweeting a photo or changing their Facebook profile picture to one of their natural self.
