O'boro police on lookout for robbery suspect

Owensboro Police Department are looking for a suspect they say robbed a Family Dollar.

On Friday night around 8:10 p.m., officers were called to the robbery at Family Dollar on W. Parrish Avenue.

Police say an unknown male had entered the business wearing a ski mask and showed a knife.

The employees were able to retreat to the safety of a rear office, and did not know if anything had been taken. No injuries were reported.

Police say they male was 5'7" to 5'8" with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a ski mask. He was armed with a knife.

A detective was called to the scene for further investigation and is asking anyone with information about this crime to call the Owensboro Police Department at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip on the Crime Stoppers tip line at 270-687-8484.

The investigation is ongoing.
