ILLINOIS (WFIE) -

The Illinois State Rifle Association says Friday's court ruling sends another message that lawmakers should legalize the concealed carry of firearms.

The court of appeals rejected the state's request to reconsider a ruling that the state's concealed carry ban is unconstitutional.

Richard Pearson, the Executive Director of the Illinois State Rifle Association says the ruling makes it clear the courts believe the prohibition violates second amendment rights.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan says she hasn't decided whether to appeal Friday's court ruling.
