MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Milford have arrested a mother and her 15-year-old child after they said she let him drive her other child to school.

Nicole Perrelli told police that she allowed her 15-year-old to drive her younger child to school saying that she didn't feel well.

A school administrator said they attempted to speak with the 15-year-old, but the teen left the school in a "reckless manner."

The administrator contacted the Milford Police Department about the incident.

Police investigated and arrested Perrelli and her son.

Perrelli was charged with risk of injury to a minor, and her son was charged with risk of injury to a minor, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a licence.

Police said the Department of Children and Families was also notified of the incident.
