You might want to start saving your appetite now for an event this weekend that combines good food with a good cause.
Men Who Cook brands itself as Owensboro's own Mardi Gras bash complete with live music, a silent auction, delicious food, just one big party, but all for a good cause.
This year's event will take place on Saturday from 7-11 p.m. at the Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club.
That's on Buckland square in Owensboro.
Celebrity chefs from around the area will prepare all kinds of dishes ranging from Cajun turtle soup, to brown butter bourbon chocolate chip cookies.
You'll also get to sample some other side dishes, salads, and more.
The chefs will be competing for the Silver Spoon Awards in several categories, but more importantly, they'll be raising money for the Glenmary Sisters.
The group helps some of the poorest people in rural America, and this event is their signature fundraiser.
Tickets are going fast.
They're $25 right now or $40 per couple.
You can also get them for $35 at the door on Saturday, but there isn't much time left!
