(WMC-TV) - According to the permit filed to bring the KKK to Memphis, the rally will include a PA system and banners.
Other than those details, the application for a permit raises more questions than it answers.
The Loyal White Nights based in Pelham, North Carolina are sponsoring the rally.
The Ku Klux Klan expects 180 participants, according to the application for a permit filled out by a local resident named Tamra Crowder.
Her listed address and phone number offered no answers.
While Action News 5's Nick Kenney was in the neighborhood, a man driving a little two-door purple car pulled up. He was wearing a ski mask. He asked what Nick was doing in the neighborhood. When Nick Kenney explained the story he was working on, the man said Crowder was not there and that he needed to leave the neighborhood. When Kenney asked why he needed to leave, the man told him 'not to worry about it' and 'get out of this neighborhood'.
Should it rain on the March 30, the day the KKK is planning to rally, the make-up date on the application is listed as March 31.
