Police find meth-making materials at west side home

Two people have been arrested in Evansville after police find meth making materials at a west side home near a youth home.

Authorities were called to the scene on 2500 W. Virginia Street on a report of a strange odor in the area around 5:00 p.m.

Investigators discovered a punctured container between two houses and other materials used in the manufacture of meth. They searched the home and say they found meth making materials in the upstairs apartment.

Police arrested 26-year-old Ryan Myers and 23-year-old Tausha Payne for conspiracy to manufacture with 1,000 feet of a youth home.

Evansville police say this is the third time they've been called to this house, each time for different occupants.
