EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

You have a chance to hang out with Evansville Police Officers Tuesday morning, in an informal setting.

"Coffee With A Cop" is a new community relations program for the Evansville Police Department.

Tuesday is the second event, at the Donut Bank on St. Joseph Avenue.

"Coffee With A Cop" is the newest community relations program for the police department.

"Coffee With A Cop" starts at 7 a.m. and will last about two hours.

Last month's event was so successful, they actually stuck around much later than expected.

They had a great turnout.

Officials tell us the goal of "Coffee With A Cop" is to provide a stress free environment for people to talk to the police department about things going on in our community, especially any public safety issues you might have.

The police department has partnered with Donut Bank, so they will host these once a month at various donut bank locations.

The public is invited, even if you don't have a concern, you're encouraged to stop by and say hi.

Keep in mind there's no presentation, no agenda, just coffee and conversation.
