EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested 11 minors – including five less than 18 years old – at an Evansville underage drinking party this weekend.

Officers received a complaint about an underage drinking party at the 1800 S. Fuquay Road in Knight Township shortly after midnight Sunday.

When they arrived, officers found 11 minors, five of whom were less than 18 years of age, who had allegedly been consuming alcoholic beverages at the party.

Two tested .16% BAC or higher.

One of the 17 year olds cited for underage drinking was also ticketed by the same excise officer for juvenile possession of tobacco at Eastland Mall less than eight hours before.

All 11 minors who were accused of illegal consumption of alcohol will appear in Vanderburgh Misdemeanor or Juvenile Court on later dates.

The five who were less than 18 years old were released to their parents.
