YMCA Pancake Days officially underway

Need a pancake fix?

The YMCA's 25th Annual "Pancake Days" is this weekend.

This event is held each February to help support the work of the YMCA.

All proceeds are used to provide programs for children and families who are unable to afford program costs.

Pancake Days is taking place in the main gym at the downtown YMCA.

Pancake Days will continue Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

There was a good turnout Friday morning.

Crowds started rolling in right at 6:00 a.m..

The mayor even made an appearance and read a proclamation honoring the YMCA for their dedication and service to the community all these years.

"The tradition of YMCA Pancake Days goes back 25 years," says Mayor Lloyd Winnecke. "If you're of any age at all, you've come down to Pancake Days. It's one of their biggest fundraiser's. They run so many quality programs for young people by the funds raised here. So it's important to for the community to support the Pancake days."
