SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

Worth County fans long for the days when the Rams football program has winning seasons like they did under former coach Milt Miller 25 years ago.

New Rams football coach Jason Tone learned alot of the game from Milt Miller during his playing days at Lowndes High in the 1990's.

The Worth County Board of Education approved Jason Tone for the Rams head coaching job at their monthly meeting Thursday night.

Jason Tone has been an assistant coach at Camden County for the last six years.

He plans to bring everything including the wing-T offense from Camden to Worth County.

Jason Tone is excited his first head coaching job is at the school where his high school coached once worked.

"In fact he sent me a text saying congratulations this morning. That means a lot of hear from him. Playing for him it has always been a dream of mine to be head coach. To come back here where he coached it is an honor," said Jason Tone.

Jason Tone will debut as the Worth County head football coach at Swainsboro in August.
