KSP says man arrested after fire call leads to meth lab discovery

HANCOCK CO., KY (WFIE) -

Kentucky State Police, Hancock County Sheriff Office, and Hawesville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3617 KY 1389 in Hawesville, KY.

It happened around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Officials say their investigation found the remnants of a one pot methamphetamine lab and numerous items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Authorities say William E. Wilkerson was arrested at the scene and taken to the Breckinridge Co. Jail. No bond has been set.

KSP says another person at the scene, Amanda M. Adkins, was transported to the Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perry County Indiana with minor burns sustained from the fire. 

The incident is still under investigation and officials say further arrests are likely.
