Sweet Home Alabama

The Carnival cruise ship Triumph is empty of passengers after the disabled ship was towed into Mobile, Alabama. Passengers who were checking into hotels described a lack of toilet facilities and other hardships after an engine room fire crippled the ship.

Wicked Meteorite

Hundreds of people have reported being injured in a sparsely populated area in Russia's Ural Mountains where a meteor apparently exploded. The piece of space rock caused sharp explosions and injuring more than 400 people, many of them hurt by broken glass.

Colder Weekend

We'll say farewell to mild temperatures as another fast-moving clipper system dives across the Tri-State Friday.  We may see a few snow showers, but nothing that will have an impact on travel.

Pancake Days

It's a great morning for pancakes as the YMCA'S 25th Annual "Pancake Days" is going on right now. The event is held each February to help support the work of the YMCA.  Emily has the yummy details.

Bourbon Ball

And we'll get an early look at the Owensboro Rotary Club's 5th Annual Bourbon Ball Fundraiser and let you know how to get tickets before they're gone. Alyssa Hansen is live with the story.

So enjoy your weekend, and we'll see you on Sunrise.
