GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Sometimes, there are people you wish you could just delete from your life. And the app KillSwitch claims to do just that.

"It's a little bit better, I guess, than just straight blocking somebody or unfriending them because you can actually remove all trace of them existing," Jay Handler said.

Handler is a social media consultant and knows about the new app now offered on Androids.

"It looks pretty decent, the fact that if you want to get rid of one person in particular from your feed and completely obliterate them - Happy Valentine's Day!" Handler said.

In order to get the app, you pay 99 cents, download it and a cupid pops up. So, to axe an ex or to get rid of a one-time friend, type in the person's name. Once the name is confirmed, select KillSwitch, and it deletes old posts and pictures from your Facebook page.

"I think it would be a nice app to have, just to like get rid of all the memories and stuff like that," Krissy Lattin said as she celebrated Valentine's Day.

She said she's happy in her relationship, but her boyfriend, Josh Hendricks, said he has a friend that has Facebook drama and could use the app.

"I'm sure if he had this app, it probably wouldn't have caused so many problems that it did," Hendricks said.

The couple said they're not friends with their exes on Facebook at all, but think the app is a good idea.
