INDIANA (WFIE) -
Indiana State Police conducted two saturation patrols Friday night and early Saturday morning targeting dangerous and impaired drivers in Knox and Vanderburgh Counties.
Between 8:00 Friday night and 4:00 Saturday morning, troopers arrested five impaired drivers. All five drivers are currently being held on bond.
Those Driving While Intoxicated arrests were:
Vanderburgh County:
• Dalton Ireland, 21, Evansville, IN (BAC .16%)
• Laura Smith, 31, Evansville, IN (BAC .27%)
• Samantha Monsen, 23, Henderson, KY (BAC .15%)
Knox County:
• Thomas T. Dye, 50, Vincennes, IN (BAC .09%)
• Emmanuel T. Messer, 22, Vincennes, IN (.11%)
Indiana State Police says they are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.
