Evansville police are searching for a suspect in an attempted robbery at the Brooklyn Place Apartments on the far east side.
Authorities say someone entered one of the units with a sack over his face. The victim told police that when she came home, she walked into her apartment, and a male jumped out and struck her in the face with a handgun.
She told police she started to struggle and the man tased her in the face. She suffered minor injuries.
The victim told police the intruder then took off, grabbing her purse while he was leaving.
