Evansville events organization kicks off with a "crawl"

There's a new organization in Evansville called "Franklin Street Events."

They say they're working to encourage the development & promotion of quality art, small business growth and entertainment of every variety.

Friday night is their very first event.

The events organization has been working hard to plan this first event.

It'll start at 6 p.m. Friday night and end around 2 a.m. Saturday. You can start and end wherever you please.

Nearly every business on Franklin, from Lamasco to Leroy's, is taking part-not to mention many of the retail stores too, so this isn't just a bar crawl.

In order to have access to the trolley that'll be shuttling people, you need to get a wrist band.

You can pick one up at Tin Man Brewery, Lamasco Bar and Grill, Heirloom Records or Winzerwald Winery Tasting Room.

We are told wrist bands are going fast so act quick. A wrist band will also get you in some prize drawings toward the end of the night.

  • Only bars with live music will charge cover
  • Money will go back into the Franklin St events association.

That's so they can plan more events. So far they have an Earth Day event in the works and a May Fest.
