Owensboro, Ky. (WFIE) -

Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau's Theatre is getting a new look.

Renovations started this week. Risers were the first go.

They're making room for tables and chairs. The theatre will be turned into a multi-purpose room and be used for meetings and presentations.

Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau says the room is also getting new lighting and fresh paint.

"I'm really excited to be given the opportunity to really be able to utilize this room in different ways then we had before and to use it more often," says Karen Porter, Executive Director of the Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau. "It was very limited in the way that it was done before."

The Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau says renovations will be completed some time in March.
