Governor Pat Quinn approved legislation Thursday night that provides hundred of millions of dollars for road projects and the hiring of more child abuse investigators.
The legislation includes $675-million in unanticipated federal and state money available for road projects this spring.
There's also a $25-million saved from the closure of correctional facilities that will be shifted to the department of children and family services.
