FLORIDA (NBC) -
A Florida woman's attitude toward a judge in Miami lands her behind bars.
Penelope Soto is charged with illegal possession of Xanax. When they were done discussing bond, a sarcastic "adios" apparently rubbed the judge the wrong way, so he ordered Soto to come back.
Then she did the unthinkable, she showed him the middle finger.
Judge: "Count 1 will be 10,000."
Soto: (shocked) "Are you serious?"
Judge: "I am serious. Adios!"
Soto: (BLEEP)
Judge: "Come back again."
Judge: "I believe I heard you saying to..."
Soto: "Yes I did. I'm not going to the..."
Judge: "I believe you... Did you say (BLEEP)?"
Soto: "Actually I did..."
Judge: "Did you say that?"
Soto: "Yes sir, I did."
Judge: "Oh you did say that? I find you in direct criminal contempt. 30 days in the county jail."
Soto: "Okay, that's fine."
She was immediately taken back to jail where she'll call home until March.
