ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Darton swimming and diving season is enjoying another record breaking season.

The diving team has achieved a very big milestone in their young history.

Darton divers Crawford Berry and Kelsey Carniglia are both ranked number one in the nation in the junior college ranks.

That ranking includes both the one and three meter boards.

It is quite an accomplishment for both divers who are only freshmen and for second year Darton diving coach Drew Aultman.

The coach says the big ranking will put pressure going into the region and national meets.

For Carniglia, it is a big accomplishment since she split time between gymnastics and diving.

"I dove in high school but that was mainly one meter. I didn't dive ADA or USA Diving at all. So, three-meter is completely knew thing for me to learn," said Kelsey Carniglia.

"It does more pressure on them going into the meet. The other coaches, judges and athletes will be looking at them in warmup. That is okay. They do dive well under pressure so I think they will handle it," said head coach Drew Aultman.

Darton hosts the region swimming and diving championships on Thursday.
