Nearly 20 pounds of marijuana that police said was headed for the streets of LaVergne was seized Monday. Four people have been arrested in the case.
Investigators said the accused drug dealers were using a house that was within feet of Buena Vista Elementary School on 9th Avenue North in Nashville.
One of the suspects, Franklin Sisamouth, told police he was a middle man in the operation.
Police said Sisamouth accepted three packages of marijuana that came by mail. He told Metro police the marijuana would be mailed to his house then taken to the alleged ringleader, Somphone Chanphovang.
Two other men are also facing charges, including possession with intent to sell, distribute or manufacture.
Sisamouth is facing additional charges for possession of a firearm and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are scheduled to be in the Davidson County court on Wednesday.
