Posted: Updated:

Our media partner, the Madisonville Messenger is reporting local band Falter is looking to gain international recognition in the Hard Rock Rising Contest.

According to contest officials, it's the largest battle of the bands contest in the world. New and unsigned acts have the chance to win the opportunity to film a music video, record an album with Hard Rock Records and receive $10,000 in new music equipment.

Another perk?

Contest winners will also have the chance to go on a world tour with Bruce Springsteen, who is also known as The Boss.

Right now the band is competing against 200 other bands in the Nashville area, but the band wants to ultimately win the final competition in London.

According to contest guidelines, voting will end at 4 p.m. Monday. Then, the judging period of local finalists will begin.

You can vote for the band on the Hard Rock Rising Facebook page.
