Some people working at a Beaver Dam business will be forced to find new jobs by the end of the month.
Nestaway in Beaver Dam recently announced they will be closing at the end of the month.
Businesses 14 News spoke with on Monday in Beaver Dam say they are sadden by the news, but not yet sure how it will impact them.
Chad Moseley and his family opened up their mattress and furniture store in Beaver Dam a few months ago. Moseley says that people in the community are close to each other.
"Beaver Dam is a tight knit community simply for the fact that there is not a lot of people here. I think our town is around 3,200 people. Seems like everybody knows everybody," Moseley said. Moseley is the co-owner of R.U. Sleeping.
Nestaway in Beaver Dam makes formed and welded wire products for appliances. The company says they will be closing because one of their customers decided to make these products themselves. The closure will affect 75 administrative, production, and management employees.
"It's tough. Anytime anyone losses their job it's tough. In a town this small, it can really have an effect on everybody," Moseley said.
Moseley says he is not sure how the job loss in the community will impact his store.
"We'll just have to wait and see if these people can get placed in other jobs quickly where it doesn't effect them or effect us," Moseley said.
The company says they plan to help employees find other jobs available in outside agencies.
