Here's something to celebrate, it's February and that means we've made it over two-thirds through meteorological winter.

It certainly has been an interesting season so far.  Taking into account only December and January weather, temperatures have averaged almost 39 degrees, which is near 5 degrees above normal.

The warmest day was 73 degrees back on December 3rd and the coldest has been 12 on January 30th, although this month we did drop down to 10 degrees on February 1st.

We've had over 10.24 inches of rainfall, which is 3.38 inches above normal.  We've also had 11 inches of snow, which is about average, if not slightly above up this point.

The long range outlook for February form the Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a slight chance for above normal temperatures with an even chance for above or below normal precipitation.
