PORTAGE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

A tanker truck driver crashes while rounding a curve, and some of the diesel fuel he was hauling leaked into a nearby stream.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. Sunday on SR5, just east of Ravenna.

The driver was traveling westbound when he lost control and over-turned. The driver was transported to Robinson Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. His name is not known at this time. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Portage County Emergency Management Agency, Ravenna Township Fire Department. Portage County Homeland Security, Portage County Sheriff's Department, and Ohio Department of Transportation responded to the scene.

The tanker was carrying approximately 7,800 gallons of "off road diesel fuel".  It is not known how much leaked into a nearby stream.
