A fast moving clipper system will spread snow across much of the tri-state overnight, with 1-3"+ possible. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6am.
Depending on how fast the system moves out, we could see a lingering chance for light snow or flurries early on Sunday before skies clear. Even with sunshine returning, highs will struggle to reach the mid to upper 30s, which is a bit below our average high this time of year in the low to mid 40s.
We'll see warmer(not warm) temperatures return by Monday with highs back into the 40s. Another weak system moves in on Monday with a good chance for rain. There's a small chance our northeastern counties will see a wintry mix as temperatures will be around freezing along US 50. However, I'm not expecting any major travel issues.
The week once again will have a little something for everyone as temperatures start off chilly and end in the 50s as a more southerly flow tries to sneak in here and there.
Some of the long range models are hinting at a more significant rain-maker for us, possibly late Saturday and into Sunday of next weekend. We'll keep you posted.
