WESTFIELD, MA (WSHM) -
A Westfield woman pleaded guilty Thursday to assault and battery charges in connection with the 2011 death of her husband.
According to MassLive.com and The Republican, Karen Brettman has been sentenced to 30 months at the Western Mass Regional Women's Correctional Center in Chicopee.
John Brettman was injured during a March 16, 2011 dispute in the couple's home. He died from his injuries on April 15, 2011. An autopsy found that the cause of John Brettman's death was blunt force trauma to the head.
