Sunrise Turns 19!
Good Morning! Way back when on January 31st, 1994 the first full fledged morning newscast made its debut on Evansville television. Today we celebrate 19 years on the air! What a wild ride it has been. We were only on for an hour back then, ...but have since grown into a fully matured (some mornings) 2 1/2 hour show. I'm not that good at math, but between the three of us, Beth, Byron and I, there are 45 years of experience on the air every morning. Heck, we're approaching middle age! Bottom line is, we couldn't do it without the loyal support of viewers like you. Thank you for a wonderful 19 years, and we look forward to being here for another 19 and beyond.
We'll take a look back at Wednesday's storms and see what the damage is like. We'll also head to the deep south where storms were even more violent.
Part of the new stretch of Interstate 69 is sinking at the Gibson-Pike County line. We'll let you know what INDOT plans to do about it.
Henderson Therapy Services
The Henderson YMCA and Methodist Hospital therapy services have teamed up. Emily is live with the details.
Cold is Back
Winter is back in the Tri-state. And it'll be even colder tomorrow. Byron will have the details in his First Alert forecast.
So stay warm and we'll see you on a birthday edition of Sunrise.
