Moderate Risk For Severe Weather - 14 News, WFIE, Evansville, Henderson, Owensboro

Rain, wind, and a possibility of tornadoes late Tuesday night

Posted: Updated:

Moderate risk for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes later tonight and early on Wednesday. Close to a record high 70-degrees this afternoon which was set in 1975.

3-primary threats through early Wednesday morning. Isolated tornadoes, damaging winds, and flash flooding.

At this writing…the highest tornado threat will still be southwest of Madisonville/Carmi. The greatest risk for severe weather will be from 10:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. Historically...potent cold fronts with near record highs in advance of arctic air...will arrive late. My thinking most of the action will be arrive after midnight with one big squall line.

Expect a tornado watch and or severe thunderstorm watch covering tonight through Wednesday morning.
